First U.S. Ebola Case Confirmed in DallasThe Department of State Health Services reports a Dallas hospital patient has tested positive for Ebola, making him the first case diagnosed in the United States. Texas Health Commissioner David Lakey, MD, says there are no other suspected cases in Texas. Be sure to ask patients about recent travel and consider Ebola in patients with fever and a history of travel to Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia, or Nigeria within 21 days of the onset of symptoms.
